Language learning products for German
German is a Germanic language spoken by about 120 million people in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Lichtenstein, France, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Luxemburg and many other countries around the world. The first examples of written German date back to the 8th century AD and the standard language (known as 'High German') is the second most popular German language spoken in the world today (after English). It uses the Roman alphabet so the written text is easy to learn and many words sound remarkably simliar to their English counterparts.
